# Integration Overview

Welcome to the Bilt Partner Integration documentation. This guide outlines the core components required to integrate your platform with Bilt's connected ecosystem.

## Integration Capabilities

*There are a few variations of data integrations with Bilt, consisting of (but not limited to):*

| Capability | Description | Components | Required |
| :- | :- | :- | :- |
| **Bilt to Partner Linking** | Account linking initiated from the Bilt app; Bilt calls APIs you host — see [Bilt to Partner Account Linking](/partners/account-linking/bilt-to-partner-account-linking) | Bearer token | **Yes** |
| **Account Unlinking** | Bidirectional — either side can disconnect a link, see [Bilt to Partner Account Linking](/partners/account-linking/bilt-to-partner-account-linking) | POST API | **Yes** |
| **Order Reporting** | You send Bilt each purchase and refund made by a linked member so Bilt can reward it — see [Order Reporting](/partners/order-reporting/order-reporting-api) | API key, POST webhook | **Yes, for rewards partners** |
| **Order Status** | You check whether Bilt accepted an order you sent, and why not if it did not — see [Order Reporting](/partners/order-reporting/order-reporting-api) §7.3–7.4 | Bearer token, GET API | Recommended |

## Typical integration sequence

1. **Link** — the member connects their Bilt account to yours (account linking above).
2. **Report** — each time that member makes a purchase or gets a refund, you `POST` the event to Bilt's order webhook. Bilt answers `200` right away and checks the event within seconds.
3. **Check** — you read the order's status, or list the orders Bilt rejected, and resend once the cause is fixed (most often the member was not linked yet).
